- Monday, March 27,
Membership Committee meets at noon at Sisley Italian Kitchen.
The call to order will be at 12, so your
arrival by 11:45 am would be helpful.
Latecomers are not briefed on what they missed until the end of the
meeting. Sisley is located at 15300 Ventura Blvd. There's validated parking in the structure
behind the restaurant. Order from the
menu.
We will meet in the alcove near the hostess stand.
We'll have results to date of the survey of members. Then we need your ideas of how best to
respond to interests and concerns noted in the survey. - Wednesday, March 29,
our Government Affairs Committee meets at Bamboo.
The call to order is at 12 noon, so
please come early. Staff of our elected
officials and members of the Studio City Chamber are expected to join us for a
lively discussion on "issues of the day."
Remember, there's a California Primary Election in June with candidates
for many offices and a number of issues on the ballot. Bamboo is located at 14014 Ventura Blvd. If you park in front, be sure to connect with
the valet which also serves Café Bizou. - Wednesday, March 29,
our New Member Orientation starts at 5:30 pm in the offices of Smith
Barney.
Program begins promptly at
6:00 pm. Smith Barney is in Suite 1900 (19th
floor) of the building at 15260
Ventura Blvd.
City National and Washington Mutual Banks are on the ground floor. Validated parking in the rear structure which
is entered from Ventura Blvd... No cost to those who joined the Chamber
during the last 6 months or so.

Governor Schwarzenegger and US Health Secretary Leavitt present "California and Los
Angeles Prepare."
This summit for health and social services leaders is designed to
raise awareness of pandemic influenza.
It takes place from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Westin Bonaventure

Golf Committee meets 9:00 am at Prudential Realty, 13300 Ventura Blvd.

- Friday, June 9, UCC
will present its Annual Small Business Award breakfast.
Our Marketing Committee is accepting
nominations for this Award and also for the Fernando Award.
UCC focuses on a business owner who has been especially
helpful in the San Fernando Valley or in
his/her own community. Fernando looks
for someone who has been involved for a lifetime in the social, educational,
religious, and philanthropic parts of our life in the Valley. Nominations for each may be sent to the
