The Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 60 years of service, and during that time has remained active and involved with its community.  As we move forward, we are excited about new trends and opportunities for growth for Sherman Oaks!   We are a Chamber committed to providing, and facilitating, major support to all of its members through the promotion of economic development, and enhanced awareness of issues directly related to the rapid growth in area businesses and local commerce.

• The Chamber's award winning site, www.shermanoakschamber.org, lists our membership business and community amenities. (Your web site can be linked to from ours at no charge!)
  
  
• The monthly newsletter, Sherman Oaks Chamber NEWS, is for members only, and features members, new products, promotions and location changes. It is also available for special advertisements/promotions of your business at a very low cost to you!
  
  
• Our very own Sherman Oaks Street Fair draws over 80,000 attendees annually. Your membership entitles you to a discount on a booth to promote your business!
  
  
• Each member receives a plaque for display that shows consumers you are involved in the Sherman Oaks community!
  
  
• Your brochures can be displayed in the reception area of the Chamber.
  
  
• At business fairs and "Table Top Expos" you can display your goods and services for a small fee because you are a chamber member!

• Want to get "on the web" with your business? We can help you develop your own web site and tie it into the Chamber’s! This is the new way to advertise and offer promotions. The Chamber web site gets thousands of "hits" each month!
  
  
• Want to run a marketing campaign to members? We can provide address labels for a small membership rate or special Chamber Mailings to our members.
  
  
• Need some help in handling your business now that it's up and running? We can connect you with Chamber member VEDC, which provides entrepreneurial training right here in Sherman Oaks.
  
  
• The Chamber can offer seminars on pertinent issues to help you operate your business more successfully.
  
  
• Got questions about City codes, permits, etc? We have a list of phone numbers and can make referrals to business assistance centers.

Exposure / Involvement

• The Chamber provides business referrals to its members through the numerous personal inquiries, e-mails, and letters it receives daily asking about certain businesses in Sherman Oaks. Our statement that you are a "member in good standing" is important to consumer inquiries because it shows you care enough about the community and your business to be involved with the Chamber.
  
  
• We can provide community-wide exposure for your grand opening, ground breaking or special anniversary through a ribbon cutting "photo opportunity".
  
  
• We offer opportunities to get mutually acquainted with other businesses and services in Sherman Oaks through:
  
  The monthly "Good Morning Sherman Oaks" Breakfasts where you can exchange ideas and business cards with other members. The Network Power Breakfasts are held on the first Wednesday of the month between 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. and sponsored by member organizations such as yours!
  
  The monthly luncheons where introductions and an opportunity to say a few words about your business are made at the beginning of each luncheon meeting. Luncheons are held the third Thursday of the month from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.
  
  
• Your involvement with one of our committees. You can become familiar with local issues, and help shape the policies, direction and financial strength of your organization as it relates to city, county, and state issues! We offer involvement opportunities as a Chamber "Ambassador" making guests feel welcome, helping to plan the annual installation dinner, assisting in a special event such as our annual street fair, or a business expo. These are great ways to keep your name and your organization’s name in front of our membership! Your business grows when people think of you because they know you!
