The Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce's 14th Annual Street Fair will be held on Sunday, October 24. The 2004 Street Fair, an official "Valley of the Stars" event, will be held from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, on Ventura Blvd., between Van Nuys Blvd., and Kester Ave., in Sherman Oaks. Admission is free.

Proceeds from the Sherman Oaks Street Fair will benefit the public schools in Sherman Oaks: Chandler Avenue, Dixie Canyon, Kester Avenue, Millikan Middle School, Riverside Drive and Sherman Oaks Elementary.

Grand Marshals will be Marge Hearn, widow of Chick Hearn, the legendary "Voice of the Los Angeles Lakers," and Doug McIntyre, of KABC Talk Radio.

A full-color commemorative poster, featuring the artwork of students from Riverside Drive and Sherman Oaks Elementary schools has been produced by the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce, and will be available at the Street Fair. Artwork from 212 children from those schools will also be on display at the Street Fair.

The Street Fair features games, rides, arts & crafts booths, business and health displays, in addition to live entertainment on two stages and food from around the world. This years entertainers include Ashley Madison, Blue Cats, Buckley School, Center Stage Dance, Cherry Bomb, Chris Murphy Band, Critter Jones, Dixie Canyon Elementary Glee Club, Kelly's Lot, Kicks Martial Arts, Millikan Middle School Performing Arts Magnet, The Neil Deal, Pacoima Middle School Dance Group, Pacoima Middle School Singers, Perfumes of Araby, Randi's Fitness, River Oaks Chorus, and San Fernando Valleyaires.
